The Catch

The Catch

A dark comedy based on a true event – cheating in a fishing contest up north. Set in and around the tiny picturesque village of Paparoa on the Kaipara harbour in northern New Zealand, we follow best mates Brian and Wiremu as they make desperately foolish decisions, threaten the town’s future and mainly, test their friendship. The Catch is an eco-drama – dealing with the very current issues of

over-fishing and the future of sustainable fishing as we know it. But told with a laugh.
